Toy Testers Wanted: Free Toy Play Session!
If you’re looking to keep the kids entertained between Christmas and New Year… we’ve got just the thing at Birchen Grove! Our free play session is the perfect way to keep little ones entertained while giving grown-ups a moment to unwind.
This fun, hands-on event invites children to explore some of our most popular toys, from colourful creative kits to imaginative play favourites. It’s a relaxed drop-in session designed to offer families something enjoyable and completely free during a time when many are feeling the post-Christmas pinch.
The Toy Play Session is on Monday 29th December, set up in the brand-new Grove Play Town.
What to expect at the Toy Play Session
Children can get stuck into a range of creative activities, including:
- Plus-Plus: Simple, colourful pieces that slot together to make endless 2D and 3D creations. Kids love how easy it is to build anything their imagination dreams up.
- SmartMax: Chunky magnetic rods and balls perfect for younger builders. Little ones enjoy the satisfying ‘click’ of the magnets and creating big structures with minimal effort.
- Connetix: Bright magnetic tiles for building towers, shapes and imaginative structures.
- Brio Trains: Classic wooden tracks and engines for building railways, with kids enjoying whizzing trains around the tracks.
Children will also be able to enjoy a sneak peek at Grove Play Town, our role-play village where little ones can try out “grown-up” jobs — from firefighters and police officers to surgeons and ice-cream scoopers.
It’s relaxed, creative fun that sparks imagination and encourages free play.
A cosy Twixmas outing for the whole family
The days after Christmas can feel a little quiet, especially when the excitement of new toys fades. This session offers a simple, joyful way to get out of the house without spending a penny. Just turn up, get stuck in, and enjoy some relaxed family time in the heart of Birchen Grove.
Please note that children must be supervised at all times. Ideal for children aged 1-7 years.
